As a member of The Canadian Association of Journalists, we also advocate and promote excellence and ethical practice in journalism, which defends and upholds the public’s right to know.

A free flow of information and discussion sustains and revitalizes our democratic process, because understanding emerges from honest and impartial reporting. While Canada’s legal traditions provide media with certain privileges and protection, the CAJ hold its members accountable by demanding the ethical practice of the profession.
