Heath is an international-award-winning communications professional that brings 20 years of public relations, corporate communications, marketing and journalism expertise to his clients.
Groomed in the demanding trenches of international PR agencies and advising c-suite executives in several multinational companies, Heath has spearheaded hundreds of media, communications and reputation management programs for several of Canada’s largest and most entrepreneurial companies.
As both a reputation management consultant, and a freelance journalist, Heath understands both sides of the media landscape and brings this perspective to all of his clients. Applying journalistic insights gained from the Washington Post and freelance news reporting across Canada, Heath continues to provide advice to businesses of all sizes to help them grow their business while mitigating risk.
Described as principled, creative and versatile, Heath offers strategic business solutions that deliver results, positive media exposure and help to spark ideas and people into action.
Heath is a globally accredited business communicator (ABC) recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). He holds a Master’s Degree from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, has completed graduate-level Corporate Communications studies at Seneca@York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Heath is also a university Public Relations Professor that incorporates the latest research to support his clients. He is an industry thought leader that has spoken at more than 70 conferences around the world to share best practices in reputation, crisis and change management, employee engagement and social media.
He helps organizations to break down silos, develop and execute integrated strategies that make dollars and sense. He also generously shares his time and expertise mentoring both PR professionals and University/College graduate students to guide their career paths and work with integrity.
